Translate, hold to ear. Google Translate's two new tricks:

On iPhone, "listening mode" lets you hold the phone to your ear like a call and hear a translation of whoever's talking, no earbuds needed.

On Android, Live Translate now runs in the background, so you can check the map or your hotel confirmation without killing the conversation.
